Wandong Overall Intervention Solution Empowers National Healthcare Fundamental Construction

China has a large population, and the county-level medical care is the main battlefield of the Healthy China Initiative.

In October 2021, the National Health Commission of China issued the "Thousand County Project" County Hospital Comprehensive Capacity Enhancement Work Program (2021-2025), which proposed that by 2025, at least 1,000 county-level hospitals nationwide should reach the level of medical service capacity of tier one hospitals.

Key Breakthrough

It is a huge project to bring the service capacity of more than 1,000 county hospitals to the level of tier one within five years, and a key breakthrough is needed.

Interventional therapy, which has been praised as a "life-saving miracle for patients" by the medical profession, falls into the responsibility to propel the capability of county hospitals to grow rapidly.

Challenges

Interventional treatment involves many kinds of diseases and requires interdisciplinary integration, from the aseptic process in the operating room, the configuration of various resuscitation equipment such as anesthesia machines and ventilators, to the maintenance of the equipment, each link requires the appropriate talents. And what primary hospitals lack most is professional talents. Having a complete and high-quality interventional team and a good mechanism for the delivery and training of interventional talents has become an important factor limiting the ability of primary hospitals to improve.
